These Are Austin’s 5 Fastest-Growing Tech Companies, According to Inc.

Some 113 Austin companies across all industries made the 2020 Inc. list, including 80 repeat honorees. These are the tech startups that helped lead the way for ATX.

Inc. just unveiled its latest Inc. 5000 list identifying the fastest-growing startups across the country, and Austin tech companies were well represented in this year’s ranking.

The magazine’s list, released Wednesday, includes privately held, U.S.-based companies that were founded and generating revenue no later than March of 2016. Companies included in the list are ranked according to their percentage revenue growth between 2016 and 2019.

All told, 113 Austin companies across all industries made the 2020 Inc. list, including 80 repeat honorees. These Austin companies reported a median three-year growth of 174 percent, along with a total of 14,482 jobs added during that time period.

Digital Thrive offers a digital marketing and advertising platform that helps healthcare, insurance, tech and other businesses maximize their brand engagement. The startup’s revenue rose 968 percent over the past three years, according to Inc.

Iris Telehealth was founded in 2013, with the aim of staffing mental-health clinics with psychiatrists versed in online care. The Austin startup, which does not provide direct-to-consumer services, said it has since grown to include board-certified providers who have virtually counseled 40,000 patients nationwide. Inc. estimated Iris’ revenue grew 1,167 percent during the past three years.

Founded in 2015, Simply NUC develops and sells ultra small form factor computer devices, specializing in working with Intel technology. The Round Rock-based company’s tech can be found in malls, banks, corporate offices and more. Simply NUC has so far raised $8 million in venture funding. Inc. reported that Simply NUC’s revenue rose 1,198 percent over the past three years.

Kinect Solar, founded in 2015, serves as an online marketplace for renewable energy products, with offerings ranging from solar panels to screws to roof mounts. The Austin company claims to offer residential, commercial and utility customers wholesale prices. Inc. estimated that Kinect Solar’s revenue grew 2,811 percent during the past three years.

Founded in 2000, Quality Innovation — or Qi, for short — provides cybersecurity, IT, healthtech and other technology services to government and commercial customers. In addition to providing IT services, Quality Innovation also provides medical and tech consulting. The govtech startup specializes in serving veterans and active military families, and it operates in all 50 states across the U.S. as well as in Japan. Quality Innovation’s revenue grew 5,076 percent over the past three years, according to Inc.
