Unity is truly a global company. While our headquarters are in San Francisco, we were founded in Copenhagen, and have 43 offices in 17 countries spread across the Americas, Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Asia-Pacific. We’re over 3,200 employees strong and counting. We grew by 40 percent last year with plans to do the same in 2020.

Hippo is very different from a traditional insurance company. Being downtown in the heart of the city really drives our fun and inclusive environment. We have catered lunches throughout the week, birthdays, cultural celebrations and family gatherings. Participating in local events such as the StartUp Games allows us to network and compete with other companies to raise money for charity.

One trait everyone on my team shares is flexibility. Most of us come from well-established companies, so it was an adjustment to move to a startup. Hippo is constantly growing, and with that comes change. But we all work together to ensure the satisfaction of our customers and the success of the company. I have learned so much about the industry and I am excited every day to be a part of such an amazing, driven team.
