Firmspace opens new co-working space for upscale professionals
Firmspace announced the opening of its upscale co-working space in Austin for established professionals who need a secure, private and polished office without a long-term lease. AI startup Tethr raises $15M

Snap Kitchen welcomes new CEO
Snap Kitchen announced Dale Easdon as the company’s new CEO on Wednesday. Easdon was promoted after Snap’s former CEO Dave Kirchhoff resigned to join iFly Holdings as its CEO. Easdon first joined the team as COO in 2016. Prior to Snap Kitchen, Easdon served as COO at California-based Taylor Farms. [Austin Business Journal]
Planview raises $16,500 for American Heart Association
For the 10th consecutive year, members of the Planview team participated in the American Heart Association’s Austin Heart and Stroke Walk in October. The team raised $16,500 this year and had 62 employees and friends join in the run/walk. Since 2008, when Planview first participated, the team has raised and donated over $71,000 to the organization. [Press Release]

Vast, the Austin AI auto tech startup, and World Class, a local real estate company, have teamed up to open LZR, an event and venue space that was previously La Zona Rosa. The building is a mixed-use office space with Vast as its anchor tenant. The venue includes a warehouse, lounge, bar area, stage, seating area and outdoor patio and is available for rent. IBM and UT Austin team up on design curriculum
IBM and the University of Texas Austin announced that they have partnered to create a design curriculum for the UT School of Design and Creative Technologies at the College of Fine Arts. The first project course is called Radical Collaboration, a semester-long, three-hour design thinking class taught by IBM designers at the IBM Design Studios. [Press Release]
