NoScrubs is a the fastest, most affordable laundry delivery service that’s ever existed. Americans spend 50 billion hours per year on the chore (equivalent to 75,000 lifetimes!).

Previous laundry delivery services were limited by a) high cost b) slow turnaround and c) limited geographic scale. So the price point and geographic limitations made them not broadly applicable. Of course there are laundromats and delivery services, but they're all severely limited. No Scrubs is using decentralized laundry locations to offer a quality of service and price point on laundry delivery that has never been possible before. We're at the ground floor startup stage. Founder/CEO (Matt, writing this👋) was previously cofounder/CEO of AdQuick.com (Zillow for billboards), worked at Amazon Flex, and was the ~20th employee at Instacart. Su (cofounder/Head of engineering) has been starting companies and writing code for a decade. We hope you're familiar with the ownership, urgency, intensity, and ambiguity of working at a startup.

The role

We’re looking for a Growth and Partnerships lead to create the growth playbook for the company. This is the first growth hire, so we expect you to be able to wrangle the ambiguity and prioritize and rapidly test channels. Of course, there are ample things that will come up and be eligible for ownership at an early stage startup. We’ll be expecting major hustle, hard work, creativity to generate new customers in Austin in preparation for expanding nationally. No tactics are off limits and everyone is a potential customer. Google “Earnest Shackleton job posting” - this is the modern day equivalent 😊

Compensation will be significantly equity-weighted.

Values & Qualitative:

  • Customer Love: staying customer obsessed, anticipating customer needs, and listening attentively to every customer signal will get us far
  • Touch Grass: no one is above any task at the company
  • Ownership & bias to action: we have far too much to do to have people waiting for assignments. Proactively identifying and taking on projects is paramount to execute fast. Mistakes of commission are 100% fine (most things are two way doors), but mistakes of omission are not ideal

  • Building partnerships - property managers love sending their residents NoScrubs as an amenity
  • Paid acquisition - prioritize, optimize and rapidly test channels to develop portfolio of acquisition channels
  • Events - where can we have a presence that will attract customers?
  • Scrappy/creative - what hacky and scrappy ways can we infiltrate networks in Austin to get the word out?
  • Company outreach and partnerships - reaching out to local companies to have them send NoScrubs to their employees
