Role Description

The People Analytics team has grown alongside with Dropbox to help our leaders make more informed decisions on identifying, attracting, developing, and retaining top level talent. As Dropbox embarks on the new world of Virtual First - the People Analytics team is looking for a Data Analyst with a passion for problem-solving and the ability to analyze People data to help usher in this new era of work. Not only will you partner within the People team, but members across the organization to uncover trends and influence the greater company strategy. This role will have a specific focus on People data and using quantitative/qualitative data. You should have a demonstrated ability to think analytically about the business, deliver concrete results under ambiguity, have a critical eye for detail, and have high expectations and standards.
Responsibilities
- Support analytics projects focused on people-team stakeholders (DEI, HRBP team, Learning & Organizational Development teams)
- Understand People-related challenges, collect data and consult with stakeholders to define solutions, tell a story through data visualizations, and present recommendations
- Build relationships with key stakeholders, help with requirement gathering sessions, and develop the insights to help People and Dropbox leaders understand and support our workforce.
- Answer business questions through independent investigation and data forensics, regularly leveraging our data warehouse to pull data quickly for time sensitive insights.
- Ensure our data meets high accuracy and efficiency standards — QA data, standardize definitions and calculations, and build upon data toolkits and trainings for stakeholders.
- Assist our dashboard team by building visuals and partnering with IT to add enhancements to our data warehouse.

- Utilize statistical techniques to assess the impact of various people strategies on business outcomes.
- Operate in a high-demand setting by quickly adapting to evolving priorities and ambiguous stakeholder needs.
- Proactively work to clarify objectives and deliver flexible, actionable insights that meet changing business requirements.
Requirements
- BA/BS in an analytical major such as Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Physics, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering or similar.
- 5+ years experience in Business Intelligence/Data Analytics in a client-facing and data-driven role, with past exposure to working with HR teams.
- Experience and a passion for storytelling with data. Can confidently choose the best visualization style for the given context; the insights from your visualizations speak for themselves
- Ability to efficiently analyze large volumes of data, quickly draw insights, and present concise/clear recommendations of results
- Track record of driving projects from end to end (from building strategy to execution)
- Fluent in SQL, advanced Excel, and Python (pandas package) or R.
- Ability to think creatively and critically and thrive in a fast-paced, multifaceted, and often ambiguous work environment
- Humble and a team player - you go out of your way to help teammates.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior roles in People analytics (vs. other analytics)
- Additional technical skills (Tableau, Able to leverage AI/has opinions on AI - specifically tableau pulse etc )
- Strong exec presence / verbal presentation skills
