Motorsports Procurement Specialist/Payment Assistant

Remote: This role is categorized as remote. This means the successful candidate may be based anywhere in the United States and is not expected to report to a GM worksite unless directed by their manager.
The Role
We are seeking a Motorsports Procurement Specialist and Payment Assistant responsible for procuring materials, tooling, and services. This involves identifying needs, sourcing suppliers, and ensuring that all necessary items are available for competition. You will support teams and suppliers by resolving invoicing and payment-related issues. Additional areas may involve tracking inventory levels, coordinating deliveries, and ensuring that all procurement activities are efficient and cost-effective.
What You'll Do
- Create shopping carts from 2207's for spot buys, releases, and alterations in eSAP Ariba; monitor status until PO has been completed by GM Buyer.
- Provide a central point of contact to Motorsports for purchase order requests and questions.
- Assist in the resolution of invoices with accounts payable.
- Manage supplier inquiries for payment status, invoices, etc. from eSAP, buyer and payables.
- Facilitate supplier in creating invoices, verify invoice has been received correctly into eSAP
- Aid Global Motorsports personnel with eSAP, invoices, and Ariba.
- Support Global Motorsports Financial Analyst as required.
- Reconcile invoice payments. Post payments to customer invoices.
- Balance financial instruments and prepare checks for transport to GM directed bank.
- Meet monthly deadlines for deposits, cross charges, and year end accruals.
- Prepare cross charges for transferring costs/expenses between internal GM and Internal Motorsports groups.
- Data mining and reporting for business sector analysis.
- Budget tracking and forecasting as requested.
- Help GM Parts Manager and Support Parts Specialist with supplier quotes, cost analysis, and inventory monitoring.

What You'll Need (Required Qualifications)
- Bachelor's degree in business administration or related field, or 5+ years procurement experience
- High School Diploma or GED
- Motorsports parts and services procurement experience
- Knowledge in Ariba, JobBoss, ERAPA, SAP, EMS, MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Outstanding interpersonal and relationship leadership skills to effectively collaborate with varying levels of the organization
- Proficiency in partnering with senior management to analyze and solve issues
- Ability to multitask by handling diverse assignments concurrently
Compensation: The compensation information is a good faith estimate only. It is based on what a successful applicant might be paid in accordance with applicable state laws. The compensation may not be representative for positions located outside of New York, Colorado, California, or Washington.
• The salary range for this role is $67,900-$104,100. The actual base salary a successful candidate will be offered within this range will vary based on factors relevant to the position.
• Bonus Potential: An incentive pay program offers payouts based on company performance, job level, and individual performance.
