As a Senior Product Designer at Bonterra, you will focus on shaping the user experience of a key product, delivering elegant and user-centric solutions. In this role, you’ll excel not only at executing complex design tasks but also at building strong cross-functional relationships. You’ll drive design strategy in close collaboration with product managers and engineers, breaking down large projects and delivering well-crafted, impactful solutions that align with the broader product vision.
Responsibilities:
Lead the end-to-end design process for a specific product, ensuring a seamless and cohesive user experience from concept to execution.
Define and evolve the product’s visual and interaction design, ensuring alignment with Bonterra’s brand and product goals.
Collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to influence product strategy through design-driven insights.
Break down complex design challenges into actionable steps and deliver refined, scalable design solutions.
Conduct user research, testing, and data analysis to validate design decisions, iterating on the user experience based on insights.
Facilitate design sprints and workshops to generate innovative ideas and solve complex design problems.
Create high-fidelity prototypes and detailed mockups that reflect thoughtful interaction and visual design, ensuring a high standard of execution.
Ensure designs meet accessibility standards and promote inclusivity, making the product accessible to all users.
Mentor junior designers, providing guidance and fostering a collaborative, learning-focused environment within the design team.
Stay informed on industry trends and best practices to continuously improve and innovate within your design work.
Who You Are:
You are a highly skilled designer with 3-5 years' experience creating exceptional product experiences.
You have expertise in design and prototyping using Figma (hard requirement).
You have a systems-thinking approach and excel at working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver user-centered, impactful designs. Your ability to translate high-level ideas into detailed, actionable solutions sets you apart as a design leader.
You have proven experience leading and executing the design of complex product experiences, with a strong portfolio showcasing UX/UI design and interaction design.
You exhibit advanced problem-solving skills, with the ability to break down complex design challenges and deliver refined solutions.
You display strong experience collaborating with product managers and engineers to align on product vision and strategy.
You have a solid understanding of working with design systems and how to create scalable and consistent design solutions.
You have proven knowledge of user-centered design methodologies, including research, personas, journey mapping, and usability testing.
You are familiar with front-end development principles (HTML/CSS/JS) and the ability to collaborate effectively with engineering teams.
You exude excellent communication and presentation skills, with experience articulating design decisions to stakeholders at all levels.
You have a commitment to accessibility and inclusivity, ensuring that designs meet the highest standards for all users.
You have experience mentoring and guiding junior designers, contributing to their growth and the overall success of the team.
Compensation
The range displayed on this job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and in addition to benefits this role may be eligible for discretionary bonuses/incentives, and equity.
US Base Salary Range: $96,000 - $135,000
