Role Summary

The Senior Software Engineer collaborates on a scalable, next-generation platform and brings experience with defining, implementing, and shipping software that delivers high-impact value to our customers. This role prioritizes writing clean and performant code and can work on front-end or back-end tasks.

The Engineer helps resolve performance and scalability problems and develops functionality to allow investors to evaluate investment opportunities, complete an online investment transaction workflow, build a real estate portfolio, track investment performance, and chart returns.

The Success You'll Build

  • Design, implement, and deliver production-quality code to support new features on our product roadmap
  • Research new technologies and solutions
  • Work with product management and partners to understand our requirements and provide accurate estimations
  • Collaborate on our technology roadmap and turn visions into reality
  • Document all code; share and communicate with others on the engineering team
  • Provide technical guidance and mentoring to mid and junior-level engineers

The Experiences and Competencies Necessary to Succeed

  • 5+ years experience as a software engineer building RESTful APIs in .NET with recent experience in modern .NET (.NET Core and newer)
  • 5+ years experience building responsive web applications using .NET technologies
  • 5+ years experience working directly with relational databases using Entity Framework
  • Experience with git version control and associated tooling
  • Experience writing and delivering secure, compliant, and scalable code
  • Desire to mentor and educate team members

Preferred Qualifications

  • Expert knowledge of the modern .NET
  • Experience building Blazor Web applications using MudBlazor
  • Experience working in the real estate or financial industry.
  • Expert knowledge of the Azure cloud and associated tooling
  • Experience building containerized web applications

We operate in a hybrid work model. You can work from home in any of the 27 states where we currently have team members. You can work from our HQ in Austin, TX. Through our partnership with Industrious, we also provide access to CrowdStreet-paid, local co-working spaces.
