The role is responsible for Orthopaedic Operations strategy execution with regards to planning, development, execution tracking and evaluation of Orthopaedic Operations programs contributing to the global strategic roadmap. A key deliverable from this role is governance for Orthopaedic Operations programs in order to deliver the expected value and outcomes within the short- and long-term roadmap horizon. The incumbent will be critical in cultivating a highly functional partnership with Global Operations Strategy, Transformation and Operational Excellence(STOX).

What will you be doing?

The role is also responsible for support of programs in coordination with leaders in the following functions Finance, Quality, Supply Chain, Global Procurement and the Operational Excellence. The incumbent provides strategic leadership to an organization accountable for the execution of profit improvement (PPV), sustainability, and continuous improvement within the Orthopaedic Purchased Finished goods business; required to meet sustained supply.

The role reports to SVP Orthopaedic Operations and is integral to driving the SVP Roadmap towards achieving the vision: To operate as one Integrated Orthopaedic Operations team - Optimized, Scalable and Customer- Centric.

Strategy Execution (50%)

- Own, develop and implement a governance framework to ensure clarity and timeliness of Orthopaedic Operations and project execution; critical to overall success of operations

- Provide regular structured progress and risk updates of key programs

- Support Orthopaedic Operations in activities including project management, hands on analysis, presentations and stakeholder management (internal clients are usually the members of the global and regional top-Management)

- Lead/participate in major and complex projects with significant business impact

- Liaise with the relevant functions within Orthopaedic Operations and beyond to ensure projects are on-track to deliver the expected results and address barriers/risks

- Develop and deliver Orthopaedic Operations Optimization programs through strategic programs addressing inventory, cost and service - including but not limited to: network footprint, organization, cost-to-serve and service

- PFG Management - drive global Orthopaedic Operations alignment towards developing and standardizing processes to increase efficiency of Purchase Finished Goods (PFG)

-Available-to-promise (ATP) - member of the global project team to drive ATP design and implementation, resulting in significant customer satisfaction improvement

- Lead and develop unprecedented organisational solutions to make a difference to the lives of our patients

- Think boldly and challenge conventional ideas to achieve better long-term outcomes

Orthopaedic Operations Performance Management (25%)

- Integral role in developing and executing Orthopaedic Operations analytics roadmap

- Analyze Global Orthopaedic Operations performance to highlight and identify improvement and cost reduction opportunities

- Work with the relevant stakeholders to develop and implement a simplified, unified and effective performance management process and dashboards

- Work closely with the Operational Excellence team to assess maturity level of Orthopaedic Operations sites and support the planning activities to elevate site maturity

Leads direct team members and influences others (20%)

- Create a culture of trust, care, support and inclusion across the organization

- Drive a feedback-oriented culture and is responsible for developing their team and driving organizational performance

- Drive to achieve and enable others to find solutions, overcome bureaucracy and obstacles to decision making and efficiency

Location: Remote

Education: Bachelor degree in Business, Supply Chain or related field. Master's degree preferred.

Experience: 15 or more years' experience with a combination of leadership, operations, project management and data analytics

What will you need to be successful?

- 15 or more years' experience with a combination of leadership, operations, project management and data analytics

- Demonstrated ability to work in a professional, multi-disciplinary, multi-cultural team as a group leader, facilitator, or participant

- Effective verbal and written communication skills including ability to effectively train others

- Ability to influence team members, peers, and managers in a matrix environment

- Demonstrated business acumen with a strong understanding of operations, compliance, and finance with the ability to develop creative solutions to complex issues

- Strategic thinking capability and strong with decision-making

- Team management (Current team of 6 direct reports and 12 indirect)

Travel Requirements: 10-25%
