The Director of Content Marketing is a strategic leader responsible for developing and executing a content marketing strategy, leading a team of writers, and aligning content initiatives with business goals to engage customers and drive growth.
This role involves crafting a content strategy that resonates with our buyers throughout their customer journey. The director ensures that the content not only engages and educates the audience but also supports the company's broader marketing and commercial team goals.
Overseeing the creation, execution, and measurement of a diverse range of content, they manage a team of writers, collaborate with various departments to produce relevant content, and utilize various formats and distribution channels. Their primary goal is to create compelling content that enhances campaigns, drives engagement, and contributes to revenue growth.
Responsibilities
- Create a content strategy framework for quarterly and monthly plans and be responsible for successful implementation.
- Lead and coach a full-time content marketing team of four.
- Work collaboratively with a variety of stakeholders across sales, product management, product marketing and marketing to ensure there is buy-in and understanding about future plans, tactics and campaigns.
- Measure content's influence on pipeline generation and business growth/ROI and analyze performance to inform future messaging.
- Explore AI/technology and alternative formats to drive both operational and performance improvements.
- Manage website content sections and ensure SEO best practices.
Requirements and skills
- 7+ years of marketing experience, preferably in content or product marketing.
- Strong commitment to engaging and delighting customers.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in various content formats.
- Knowledge of content distribution and measurement.
- Familiarity with martech and analytics tools (Marketo, Salesforce, Google Analytics).
- Strong SEO skills.
Compensation
The range displayed on this job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and in addition to benefits this role may be eligible for discretionary bonuses/incentives, and equity.
US Base Salary Range: $135,000 - $150,000 w/10% annual bonu
