What You’ll Be Doing

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Accountant to join our finance team. As an Accountant, you will play a crucial role in managing financial transactions, preparing financial reports, and maintaining accurate accounting records. You'll partner with a trusted accounting firm that handles the day-to-day accounting entries. This position requires a strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent analytical skills, and a commitment to maintaining the company's financial integrity.

Responsibilities:

• Process accounts receivable, accounts payable, and payroll
• Prepare invoices as needed for billing customers in NetSuite
• Prepare journal entries relating to cash transactions and payroll
• Assist with tax and payroll filings
• Maintain reporting around income and expenses
• Maintain financial records and organize files electronically
• Train new employees on the Accounting team
• Perform other duties as required by management 
• Manage payroll processes for non-exempt and exempt employees
• Manage expense requests approval process
• Track and pay partners and revenue-sharing arrangements
• Ensure that wallet payout is funded with sufficient cash balance 

What You’ll Need

• B.A. or B.S. in accounting, business, finance, or related fields. Master’s degree preferred. Certification as a Public Accountant (CPA) is preferred. 
• 3+ years of related experience, preferably in a software, SaaS, or subscription-based technology company. Music industry experience is a plus. 
• Computer proficiency with financial accounting systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience with NetSuite.
• Experience in creating realistic project budgets and timelines.
• Familiarity with HRIS and payroll systems (Gusto, Oyster, Deel is a plus).
• Familiarity with payout payment systems.
• Familiarity with high-volume transactions and the accounting associated with those.
• Ability to complete a high volume of work at a consistently high level of quality.

Compensation:

$70,000 - $80,000 USD. This salary/OTE range represents the low, middle, and high end of the salary or OTE (Sales roles only) range for this position, and is subject to change. To determine starting pay we carefully consider a variety of factors, including primary work location and an evaluation of a candidate’s skills, experience, market demands, and internal parity. Salary/OTE is just one component of our total rewards package. All regular employees are also eligible for additional benefits and perks BeatStars has to offer.
