IoT Implementation Specialist

Our mission is to reduce emergency response times and increase situational awareness for first responders. Our cloud-based emergency dispatch platform & 911 analytics software is the future of emergency response. We’re replacing dinosaurs and their legacy on-premise solutions that are expensive and hard to deploy, don’t scale, and are years behind in terms of features & interfaces. In the last 6 months, we’ve signed major customers and have increased our recurring revenue more than tenfold. In this new stage of growth, we’re looking for passionate, dedicated team members who will play a critical part in building the foundation of our team.

What You’ll Be Doing at RapidDeploy:
IoT Device Operations
- Provision IoT Emergency Data Gateway (EDG) devices, including:
- Load software, run configuration scripts, and test configured devices.
- Physically label, brand, inspect, and log serial numbers of all units.
- Pull, pack and ship kits to partners and clients.
- Provide implementation support to partners and customer technicians.
- Develop and maintain process and procedure documents for end-to-end device fulfilment.
- Provide technical phone support to partner and client technicians to validate device functionality and troubleshoot any issues during remote installations.
- Inventory management –Forecast and maintain stock of EDG devices, cables and components.
Implementation Support
- Lead and support technical tasks of Nimbus CAD and Radius Mapping implementations, including customer data sourcing, profile builds, and platform configuration
- Support implementation activities, at the direction of Project Managers, to efficiently deploy new customers on RapidDeploy products
- Provide direct support to client stakeholders to complete product configuration activities in support of customer objectives and use cases
- Become an expert in the functional operation of Nimbus CAD and Radius Mapping applications in order to effectively support implementation activities
- Contribute to the vision and mission of RapidDeploy by helping where you can – we are a fast growing technology company in a dynamic market environment and job requirements are subject to frequent changes
What you’ll need to be successful in this role
- Based in Austin, TX and able to work in our office Downtown
- Experience with IoT devices (preferably touching both hardware & software aspects)
- Understanding of cloud technology and IP networks
- Experience in Enterprise IT support or as a systems admin preferred
- Natural talent for technology and ability to learn new concepts fast
- Strong attention to detail and ability to focus on quality over quantity
- Excellent communication skills, ability to collaborate with team members with different backgrounds
- 2-3 year work experience, preferably in fast growing technology company
- College degree in a technical field preferred, but not absolutely required
