That’s the model behind new startup MiniBite, a mobile app that gamifies nutrition tracking and exercise by applying those factors to the health of an in-app creature called a MiniMonster. Keep yourself healthy, keep your MiniMonster healthy. Cool.
SeriesX, a new blockchain startup that hit the Austin scene this year, focuses on security token structuring for businesses. It’s building its first platform, Vertalo, which will manage security token offering registries on the blockchain. Taking a self-described “bullish” approach to token offerings, Vertalo requires verifiable association, accreditation of investors and certification for each submission. The company made the news recently for raising $2 million.
HomLuv launched last week to help home buyers build the houses of their dreams using AI. Its platform walks buyers through collections of interior designs and floor plans, noting buyer preferences along the way. From there, HomLuv matches users with home builders who fit their price and location specifications. Builder Homesite’s parent company Builder Digital Experience owns and operates HomLuv.
Overwhelmed by online shopping? Showcase launched recently to help retail ravens take advantage of the best online discounts on women’s clothing, makeup, accessories and more. The site features a new daily deal of an item significantly discounted that’s available for 24 hours. Users can put in their sizes at the onset to ensure products line up accordingly. HelloFund greeted the tech scene this June to support nonprofits and individuals with online and mobile fundraising efforts. Users can design their own customizable pages capable of processing crowdfunding initiatives, event ticket sales, recurring donations, membership fees and more.
