Austin-based SaaS startup Experiment Engine has raised a $1 million seed round. Investors included Founder Collective with support from Mercury Fund, Dan Graham, CEO of BuildASign, and Rony Kahan, Co-founder of Indeed.com.

Experiment Engine helps businesses grow with their web and mobile optimization platform that allows enterprises to conduct A/B tests through a marketplace of conversion experts. Businesses can avoid having a traditional optimization team and grow their conversion rates more cheaply and effeciently. The company graduated from Techstars Austin this summer.

"We knew from our experience that even the most sophisticated companies with advanced testing cultures were never quite testing enough." Claire Vo, Experiment Engine’s CEO and Founder, said in a blog post. "A/B testing tools are ubiquitous and easy to install, but designers are scarce and fresh ideas even more so."

Experiment Engine will use the funds to grow their team, improve their platform and expand sales and marketing efforts.

“Having run hundreds of A/B tests over our careers, my co-founder and I have a first-hand appreciation of the true impact continuous optimization delivers," Vo said in a statement. "By closing this seed round, we have the resources to accelerate our business and deliver our optimization solution to marketers who want to truly ‘Always Be Testing.’”
